When working with hydraulic mechanisms, the question of protecting HPH (high-pressure hoses) from the aggressive effects of the environment and to extend the service life.
Manipulator manufacturers recommend using a polymer spiral wrap to protect the HPH. The polymer spiral is used to protect the HPH from mechanical damage: friction, impacts, tears and cuts; it smooths bend points and reduces the effect of ultraviolet radiation. Thanks to the use of a brightly colored polymer spiral, the visibility of the HPH on special equipment increases, which significantly extends its useful service life and improves occupational safety in production.
The polymer spiral has a flexible and elastic structure, which greatly simplifies the process of its installation (winding), both before connecting the HPH to the system and after, which significantly reduces the time spent on this work.
The diameter of the polymer spiral has nominal designations (from 20 mm to 110 mm); thanks to its elasticity and flexibility it can expand, fitting the HPH more tightly.
The polymer spiral can also be used to protect electrical wires and cables.
